Ok, I've noticed this issue on many occasions, and perhaps this will cut down on incorrect sign-ups so our admins don't have to approve and then re-approve the same site!
To start, Free-Space.net provides all members with a free subdomain. The options range from:
yoursite.freesitespace.net
yoursite.myfreewebsite.org
yoursite.f-sw.com
Now, if you would like to use something like www.yoursite.com, you MUST PURCHASE the domain. Here is a tutorial on how to register your own domain:

Finally, after your site is approved, you must go to the place where you registered your domain and change the DNS settings... then sit back and be patient, it can take up to 72 hours for settings to propagate and change over completely!
